Contribute to observability discovery

As part of Observability Platform discovery, we want to hear from teams across Modernisation Platform, Cloud Platform, and other Ministry of Justice environments.

You can contribute whether or not your team uses the current Observability Platform. Sharing your experience does not commit your team to migration or mean you are onboarding to a new service.

Tell us about your current situation

The following prompts can help start a conversation. You do not need to answer every question or prepare a complete inventory.

  • What applications or environments does your team look after, and which observability tools do you use?
  • Which logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts are useful to you?
  • What works well that a future approach should preserve?
  • What makes it difficult to monitor service health or investigate an incident?
  • Where does maintaining tooling or configuration take time away from other work?
  • Which integrations, access arrangements, or data-handling constraints are important?
  • Where would shared capabilities, guidance, or support help?

Specific examples of everyday tasks and difficulties are useful. You do not need to recommend a product or design a solution.

Start a conversation

Contact #ask-observability-platform with a short description of your team’s setup and what you would like to discuss.

Please do not post credentials, sensitive telemetry, or restricted architecture details in public documentation. Ask the team how to share sensitive information appropriately.

Getting help with the existing service

For the existing platform, use the current platform overview, onboarding guide, and access guide. The same Slack channel can help with questions about the current service.
